Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Sauna List collects, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and the display name you choose.
• What you post: reviews, ratings, the month you visited, and any reports you make.
• Email alerts: your email address and the area you want alerts for, if you sign up.
• Sauna owners: your name, email, phone number and the details you give us to verify a claim. If you buy a paid plan, payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your full card number.
• Usage: anonymous counts of page views and clicks on a sauna's website, phone or directions, so we can show owners how their listing performs. These counts don't identify you.

How we use it

We use it to run your account, publish your reviews, send emails you've asked for, verify owners, prevent fake reviews and improve the site. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers to run Sauna List: Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in Sydney), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email) and Stripe (payments). Some of them may process information outside Australia. Your display name, rating and review text are public. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Emails

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Sign-in links and account emails are sent only when you need them.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information at any time. If you delete your account, we remove your email address, and your reviews are either deleted or shown as "Former member", whichever you prefer.
