About Sauna List

Sauna List is an independent directory of every public sauna in Australia: wood-fired beach saunas, bathhouses, Finnish saunas, infrared studios and cold plunge spots. It's free to use, and you always book directly with the sauna.

It's run from Melbourne by people who spend too much time in saunas.

Where the listings come from

We compile each listing from the sauna's own website and public information, and we record the date we last checked it. Once an owner claims their listing, they can update it themselves. If something is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Map pins show the suburb unless the owner has added an exact address.

How rankings work

By default, saunas are sorted by reviews from Sauna List users, then by name. When you search a place, they're sorted by distance.

A few saunas support Sauna List to keep it free and independent. They get a rotating spot at the top of their area, always marked "Boosted". Boosted saunas take turns, so no one owns the top spot.

Paying never changes a sauna's reviews or rating, and it never changes how any other sauna ranks.

Reviews

Anyone with a Sauna List account can review a sauna they've visited. We don't remove reviews because they're negative, and owners can't pay to remove or hide them. Read the review guidelines.

For sauna owners

Claiming your listing is free. You can update your details, add photos, reply to reviews and see how many people view your page and click through to your website. List or claim your sauna.
